Charity Care / Uncompensated Services
Newport Hospital & Health Services is committed to the provision of health care services to all persons in need of medical attention, regardless of ability to pay. Medically indigent patients – those with no or inadequate means of paying for needed care – will be granted charity care in accordance with the hospital’s Charity Care Policy. The Uncompensated Services program was established to provider assistance to those patients who would have paid their account, but were financially unable to do so.
Please ask the Admitting or Business office staff for a copy of the guidelines and an application. Complete applications should be submitted to the Business office. Our Charity Care Program is based on a sliding fee schedule extending up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
